Beyond normal!

I picked up this book on a whim while going through a book funk. I was hooked from the very first page! Rory has so much depth, and her story captivated me. It was reading my best friends journal. I felt her pain and heartache, her terror, her panic. I completely fell in love with Cam and Sam, and I ran back the Amazon to get book two immediately! So well written, so hear wrenching!

Loved the book. Some really difficult and emotional topics and I had moments where I had to stop and breathe. I really enjoyed it.

A Real Eye Opener

I found this book to be a real eye opener into date rape, and sexual abuse by someone who claims he loves you. Rory's father made me literally sick to my stomach. How can a parent not believe their own daughter about being raped, and make her continue to go out with this kid, actually demanding that she keeps seeing this sick freak. I am on to book two now, and I hope there is some good news in Rory and Sam's futures.

This book is unbelievably good. Even though the characters are in high school, I wouldn't consider this YA. It feels with some really serious topics, and nothing happens 'off page'. The characters are so well developed and the book so well written. I highly recommend.

Could not put this book down! Read it in just over 24 hours! Such an emotional story that I actually cried at parts. Cannot wait to read the others in this series!

If I could give this book higher than 5 stars, then I certainly would! This was a fabulous surprise that popped up in my Facebook feed. Well done and I cannot wait for the next one!

Do you ever look at the books on your Kindle and have no recollection of when you bought a book, what it’s about, or what possessed you to buy it? It happens to me all of the time (so much so that I’ve put myself on multiple book buying bans!) Normal was sitting on my Kindle and I cannot recall how or why, but I was feeling contemporary, but I didn’t know what I wanted to read, so I gave it a go.

It was such an angsty and addicting drama. The main character suffered from anxiety due to something that happened to her in her past. She was starting over in a new state going to a new school and ran into Sam during a panic attack on her first day. Throughout the story, we got to see glimpses of the past and piece together her story.

Although this had some steamy moments, I felt like it straddled the YA/NA line quite well with the main focus being the characters. In some ways, it was like watching a train wreck as Sam and Rory struggled to admit their feelings to each other, but I enjoyed the drama. I had so much fun reading the book.

Honestly, the best part was how long it was. I know I’m not the only one who can fly through a good dramatic contemporary romance in a matter of hours, and even with devouring this book so fast, it still took me a few days!
