Well put together short, compact story.
There's a good setup, intriguing atmosphere, tension, action scenes...
Also enjoyed the ending.
My only critique is that the exposition dumping through characters is a bit tedious (looking at you zadok allen 🤨).
Lovecraft can't write dialogue.

La novel·la esta molt be, però la traducció catalana és molt desigual. És com si l'haguessen fet dos persones diferents: uns trossos (pocs) estan francament bé, uns altres (la majoria) són només passables, i la resta, molt pobra: farcida de castellanismes lèxics, morfologics i, sobretot, sintàctics.

This is probably my favorite Lovecraft story. And one of the few with an action scene in it, though it is told in retrospect (Lovecraft likes doing that). This is one of his later stories, and I can definitely tell, that he has grown as a writer. I'm sad that he died so young, because of the stories we might have gotten from him later on.

the chase scene was tense but overall the horror was not very satisfying
This dude was racist AF. Almost stopped listening because of it, very gross.
He seemed to hate the ocean, which is hilarious but also understandable cause the shit that's down there is terrifying. And the shit we don't even know about yet is even worse.
I really enjoyed the end twist, that was super fun.
The monologues were super long and involved, very odd. I'm glad I listened because that would be a bitch to slog through.
