This is my first dip into the dark romance world and I found myself falling for the mmc whilst he was being an asshole so maybe I need therapy ?

I did find that it was quite slow at the beginning however it did pick up and I was hooked by the end .

I’m not sure if any of this is a spoiler but better safe then sorry. 

I liked when Zade was killing the terrible men but I hated him assaulting Adeline. It’s just is gross. I can get over the stalker part eventually but the assault I can’t get over. You can have sex like that but with consent. Horny is not an invitation. Sexual assault is not sexy. 

Being a hypocrite isn’t hot either. How can you fight against trafficking then proceed to assault your “love” and call her “little girl” in the process. I’m not one to kink shame, but you’d think after seeing pedophiles have little girls locked up for their pleasure, that’d be a major turn off, right?

 Adeline is low key insufferable. And so was Zade when he wasn’t killing people. 

The creepy vibes were great though. I also liked the setting.

I can’t believe I just read ~500 pages of the most hypocritical narcissistic male gaslighting, SAing, threatening, and stalking one of the most annoyingly ignorant female characters. 
The only reason this has a 2.5 instead of a 1 was because I actually enjoyed the murder mystery story that unfolded throughout. (It’s the only reason I pushed through after the gun scene iykyk)There’s a handful of good quotes but 97% of this book is poorly written with the same phrases used repeatedly throughout the book. While the book ends on a cliffhanger, I honestly couldn’t care less what happens in book 2 with Zade or Addie.

GIRLLL the way this book had me hooked was crazy!! And it was so nice to see Zades pov from the prequel. I actually loved their relationship and am so hyped for the next book
