Omg I loved this volume so much! Rocket is one of my favorite Guardians and I’m so happy there was a story line with Chewy.

Not a fan... I didn't appreciate the amount of time they spent right off the bat arguing about the cat/flerken. It just never went anywhere for me.

Loved the Flerken storylines, the rest were sort of meh comparatively, but still good.

Chewie is so cool, I love seeing where movie adaptations from comics come from. This art was great but the story lacked a little something for me.

The first volume was perfect, so of course I wanted to continue with this.

Pros:
-a hilarious plot involving Carol, her cat, and Rocket raccoon
-great artwork
-very unique plot lines
-a rockstar that can teleport

Cons:
-while the rockstar plot was fun, it was kind of weak and lacking
-only the last issue was on the intense/serious side

I highly enjoyed this volume and it's now made it to my favorites which up until now only consisted of The Unbelievable Gwenpool!

I'm not really a comic/graphic novel person; I read this for the flerken arc, which I enjoyed. The rest was not something I understood all that well (my Avengers canon knowledge is weak).

Not quite up to par with the first trade in terms of cohesiveness or grandeur, but still enjoyable as ever. The rhyming issue is a standout, but is also a perfect example of how this book struggles to meet the expectations met by the first trade. Taken individually, each story has it's own merits and rewards, but collected, it's plot seems diluted, and Carol's struggle to find herself through the disjointed stories loses the punch it had from her first story arc. The art is another standout for me; it may not be everyone's cup of tea, but all of the artists on service here do a good job of illuminating what each episode calls for from the characters. Ultimately what holds this trade back is that you can tell that is a collection of individual comic books, rather than a collected story told in chapters. That is not a bad thing, but I was expecting more after the stellar first volume.

This was a bit of a disappointment after volume one. It felt a lot less focused, and while there were a few really good issues in this (and I loved getting a bunch of Rocket in this one) it wasn't as good as the first. However, I do still love this series and of course I will continue. I mean, it's Carol Danvers as Captain Marvel, how could I not?
