Bone Deep is perfect for anyone that loves true crime. It's not told from people's memories. It is told and based on transcripts and audio or videos so everything that you read is based on facts. It was shocking to see what happens when the justice system fails. It's sad that the innocent are the ones that pay. This was a fast read for me. I was able to finish it in two settings. Overall entertaining and intriguing read!

Thank you Silver Dagger Book Tours and Charles Bosworth Jr for sharing this book with me!

I had never heard of this case before seeing this book on Goodreads and Instagram, but I ordered it right away. I wanted to read it before watching The Thing About Pam. This case is so crazy. It's definitely one of those the truth is stranger than fiction cases. There was zero evidence to convict Russ Faria in the murder of his terminally ill wife Betsy and no matter what kind of marriage they had in the past, this was a tragedy for him. Pamela Hupp is batshit crazy and I can't believe it took so long to put her where she belongs. This book really brings to light the incompetence of the police and judge presiding over the Russ Faria murder trial. Russ's lawyer did a great job and thankfully justice was served. Now, I'm going to go watch all the Dateline episodes about this case as soon as I find them.

I recommend this to anyone who likes unbelievable true crime cases and those about innocent people accused of a crime they didn't commit.

FYI: I did watch part of the first episode of The Thing About Pam. I couldn't actually finish it because it was so campy and I thought it's definitely bordering on disrespectful if not all the way there.

Appalling account of the grossest mishandling of justice I’ve read about since Just Mercy. Couldn’t put this one down. Wild stuff!

Wow. Just.....wow. This is like someone's worst nightmare. It's scary to me that there can be such shoddy police work, and not one person was like, hold up. Is is a great example of confirmation bias, and somewhat like mob mentality. I am glad that Pam Hupp was finally brought to justice, and that the investigators and attorneys involved had consequences for their incompetence. A very well written, consise book that really hooks you in from the beginning.
