Great book, I can’t wait to read in this series. The author is planning to have seven! I did not know what I was getting into when I started it but OK buckle up. I’m here for the ride.
I LOVED this book! From the beginning I fell in love, I took my time with this as I wanted to take in everything.
This book blew me away if I’m honest. This was amazingly written, I loved the authors writing, it was immersive and had me flying through it when I was picking it up.
There is a big info dump so it can be hard to get used to, but I really enjoyed it. I loved getting all the information and I understood fairly quickly.
I loved Paige, she was very likeable and I really enjoyed her a lot, she was very relatable to me. I enjoyed Jax too, even though he was a bit of an arsehole….. I loved Liss, she was an incredible character.
Warden…. Boy oh boy I wasn’t sure about him at first but I ended up falling in love with him, I loved how mysterious he was. I could tell he wasn’t what he seemed and I loved him and I loved the relationship development between him and Paige.

I am once again asking for goodreads to have a 10 star rating system, I'd rate this a 7. I definitely didn't LOVE this like I did priory of the orange tree but that being said I did enjoy this and I will probably read the rest (not just because I've already bought some of them haha). I do agree with other reviewers and wish she would retire the master/slave fall in love troupe. Also it's clear her writing improved before orange tree. Overall a relatively easy and pleasant read
