Kayla was my kind of heroine! She was strong and independent. She wasn't needy and falling all over herself to do whatever Mason wanted. Mason was fun and sweet and treated her good. The only think I didn't love was that lame break up at the end. Really? A picture that's years old of a best friend she has expressly told him about, and he thinks she's using a fake identity (Pf). Even with his hurtful past, it was a stretch. A bit contradictory to how much he pursued him.
I loved the secondary characters, although it took a LONG time to get all the initials straightened out and remember who was whom. That was tricky!

I will admit, I’m not a fan of books that end with cliffhangers, at all. But since this was written by Alley, I gave it a go. I’m actually very glad that I did. From the beginning this book had me laughing at the banter between Mase & Kayla.

Kayla is a stubborn, “I know what I want”, don’t need anybody type of a girl while Mase is a cocky, confident, “all the ladies love me” type of guy. When the two of them get together, it’s very entertaining. Reading their story transform from “enemies” to lovers is totally worth it & I loved every bit of it. The only bad part is waiting for the next book to come out to see what happens!!

I rarely give five star reviews...

I LOVE this story so far, can't wait to finish since it ends on a huge cliff hanger! However, the characters are fantastic, and very fun to get to know! The way the story builds, and only gives you bits and pieces at a time can be slightly annoying, but it makes the book so much better! I can't to wait to see where the story goes in book two!

Came across this book last year whilst searching for something new to read to get me out of my reading funk, I fell in love with this book and have read it 3 times since and want to read it again. Loved all the characters, I just loved everything about it.

lost me a time or two

An amazing enemies to lovers read. FMC and MMC have real potential to become my top ship. I want to know more about both their histories which I’m hoping is in the next book. The ending is sad but not break your heart sad.

Tiktok you’ve done it again! Had me reading a book because of a singular quote I saw in a less than 15 second video. This was giving miscommunication trope but like how can yet be miscommunication when they never have an actual conversation. Also misogyny
