I found this book pretty relatable...and sad. This book is all about the struggles of finding your identity and recognising it's constantly evolving. We live in a world where everyone is different...and that's okay! It also highlights the value of friendship and its ups and downs as well as the recurring negativity surrounding loneliness. The ending did seem a bit rushed and didn't tie up loose ends from earlier in the book but overall, this was a good read.

I'm so glad that I picked up this very lovely book again. Alice Oseman writes very realistic British teens and young adults, and I adored the portrayal of going to university and figuring your life out. There's this pressure to fit in and you end up comparing yourself to everyone else, thinking they're so grown-up and exciting. But really most of us are scared.

Loved all of this. The friendships. How the book handled coming out and figuring out your sexuality. Just all of it.

Update March 2021

Now I'm not in such a horrible reading slump I'm going to revisit this because I think I will love it. December was just a really bad month.

Probably in April because I need an entire Grishaverse reread this month plus I've got a couple of ARCs to go through.

December 2020

Oof my third DNF in December. This has not been a good reading month. I definitely think this is a case of "it's not you, it's me," with this book. I'll probably read and enjoy it next year when I'm over whatever is making reading so difficult at the moment. I was enjoying it until suddenly I wasn't enjoying anything.
