i didn't like this book. i wouldn't recommend this book to anyone which makes me feel bad. i thought this could've been a good read and maybe somewhat insightful to asexual aromantic persons for me understand what it could be like but whatever this girls name is (i can't remember as i blocked most of this book out of my memory for how much i hated it) was just such an unlikable character. like for this book to be about someone not interested in a romantic relationship (i know it took her awhile to figure out that out) and for her to cherish her friendships, SHE WAS A HORRIBLE FRIEND. and like i loved her friends they were great and should not of been her friend. i will say i liked that she was paired with a roommate so opposite to her that helped her figure out things of her own, but that was probably the only parts of the book i didn't want to rip my eyeballs out to. this girl sucked and i was miserable reading this entire thing.

Life-changing book. As a person who is aroace, this book has definitely got my personal experience down. I've never related to anything harder. I may be biased but this book literally improved my mental health and life outlook.

The beginning made me dislike the main character and the narrating voice so much that I just didn't want to continue. I know you're confused, but you literally set someone on fire 😭

Really enjoyed this and related to some experiences from when I was that age. A bit more critical reflection would be nice (like on why society is so sex-obsessed), but it is a YA book so I don't hold that against her too much.
