If you want to get your head around Queer Theory, this is a good starting point.

Well drawn, but written like a bland textbook or bad wiki article. Not colloquial or very fun to read and not worth finishing, unfortunately. There are better collections of queer history out there.

I can not say enough wonderful things about Meg John Barker and the way they write, see and make sense of the world. This book is another invaluable offering. An accessible guide through the occasionally academically dense concepts of queer theory. Beautifully illustrated which helps make it easy to follow and understand. A must for anyone who wants to understand more about the history of 'queer' and for anyone working with GRSD clients.

Should be called Queer *Theory* a graphic guide. 😅 but it was quite interesting, even if it fell into a few traps it was warning against. 😅

I definitely enjoyed this; it distilled over a century of dense theory in a clear, concise, and accessible manner. I wish I'd had this on hand in college as an intro to various theorists.
