soooo hilarious i laughed out loud in public. and this series contains practically everything a girl needs to know about growing up.

Mia has FINALLY managed to confess her feelings to longtime crush Michael Moscowitz and has found them returned en the entire, and so, it's on to dates! Except first she has a long school break to spend ENTIRELY in Genovia. And she misses Michael's birthday. And now she has to attend a royal event on the same night as her first date with Michael! How will he ever forgive a princess freak like her!?!

Part of me really wants to think that most 15-year-old girls would be a bit more rational than Mia but, really, I get the impression from my own memories of high school and some recent time watching the antics of young cosplayers that she probably is spot-on. Every snafu is a crisis and no one will ever love you. These mid-books make me really look forward to the later volumes, where Mia gets a smidgen more rational.

Just a smidgen.

Warning for audiobook listeners: in this volume, we switch from Anna Hathaway to Clea Lewis. It's a bit jarring, but you'll adjust. I actually thought Hathaway had signed back up for recording until I looked it up just now. My memories betray me.

This was super funny. Mia is so dramatic and it's hilarious. It's very peak early 2000s in how it feels.

Liked seeing Mia in Genovia. Enjoyed once she got back to NYC and with her friends. I will say Mia was a bit more annoying in this book. I know she’s young, but it just got annoying at points.

Also, loved those Star Wars references and the Hayden Christensen name drop!

Mia was little annoying in this book. All she talked about was how much she missed Michael and about parking meters
