Yes, absolutely read this book. I don’t even know where to start with all the things I loved! Grandma Edith? Anabelle and Ryan’s slow burn, super sweet romance? Hot Santa? The assortment of friends that added so much to the story? Saint Nick? The mystery plotline? All of it?

I was hooked from the first line, I loved the writing style, it was easy to read and easy to follow. I must say it was quite refreshing for Ryan to be the vulnerable one, the one wanting to impress despite feeling like who he was wasn’t enough. Anabelle and Ryan perfectly complimented each other, learning to trust and love whilst pushing the other to see their strengths.
Throw in a mystery subplot and conniving plans to thwart and you’ve got quite the Christmas drama!

This is definitely my favourite Christmas book so far! Might be a new tradition to reread it every year

This was the perfect holiday read packed with real emotions, redemption, and a great love that conquers all! Ryan and Anabelle stole my heart!

Ryan has a rough past that he is desperately trying to make up for. He doesn't see how amazing he truly is. He brings joy to everyone around him, is an amazing friend, and has the best heart. I love how protective he is of Anabelle! He loves her for her and doesn't make her feel like she's too different.

Anabelle is a Christmas loving inn owner. My heart broke for her because her dad and ex boyfriend treat her so badly. They don't even try to understand her. (She's on the spectrum) She is so incredibly smart and witty and kind. I loved how she saw Ryan and helped him to realize his worth.

These two not only grow as individuals, they grow stronger together. Their friend group is amazing too! And I LOVE the bond Ryan had with Anabelle's grandmother. This book is so sweet and satisfying! The characters, the plot, the spice, everything was so well done! I'll definitely be re-reading it!

 Cute But Slow

This story was beautiful over all with the meaning behind it, however, it was a slow burn with a slow build that never really picked up pace wise. It was like a slow burning candle all the way to the end.

I did like the story, I did like the couple and all their cooky friends lol

The story is very smile inducing but took me a week to finish as it never really “grabbed” me but I was enjoying it enough to finish

Ryan's been a thief practically his whole life, but after a job went wrong - and almost cost him his brother - he's started to have second thoughts.

When he's sent to steal a particularly valuable ornament from Anabelle's grandma, he knows he's got to get out of the game - he canNOT steal from this lady! (He ends up walking away with the ornament anyway - Grandma Edith gives it to him after he promises to return in a year & look after her granddaughter.)

Ryan doesn't expect to find himself caught up in ... Anabelle.

Funny, heartfelt, and just the right kind of OTT circumstances tie this complementary novel to The Love Bandits up with a sparkly bow.

This was actually a really good character development story wrapped up into a Christmas romance!

I loved the plot of the "bad boy x good girl" trope. It was really interesting to see how the two characters development ended up and how they became interconnected! I think the ending was super satisfying for a thrilling suspenseful romance!

The MFC was so lovable. The autism rep (to me) was well done. I am not a person with autism, but I am a social worker and I felt it was written well, and relatable. The inner monologue really gave us insight into the feelings of someone with autism and I sympathized the MFC a lot because of this.

The MMC was suppppeerrr dreamy. Even though he is a bad boy persona, he was such a cutie on the inside. He also was quite spicy! I would give this book a 3 pepper rating for sure. I loved how respectful he was of everyone and his actions were swoon worthy. The romance was definitely off the charts!

Loved the side characters - another character besides the MFC had autism, and it was refreshing to see another perspective.

It had so much Christmas spirit in this book too!

I found the characters enjoyable and I was completely sucked into the book. I really appreciate that there is a truly relatable autistic character.
