It's a pretty trashy read with juicy gossip that can't really be confirmed because everyone involved is either long dead or possibly senile and living in a nursing home. While I found some of Scotty's stories mildly amusing, many of them felt like a modern teenager's fabricated fan-fiction about a gas pump jockey/bartender/what-have-you and rich Hollywood A-listers, but set in the 50s.
Also, there's a bunch of casual child abuse and pedophilia in the first couple of pages. I dunno what to think about that stuff, I guess people did a lot of shit differently 75 years ago?

I found this book to be really intriguing. The life that Scotty Bowers led was incredible and I really loved his attitude on sex and the stories he shared from his life. He had a hard life with many sad moments but he also loved the work he did and did it well. The book is intense but intriguing and definitely kept me interested.

This was a very eye opening book. I had already heard about some of the stars in the novel but others were quite a surprise.

I think a lot of this is fake, because he leaves out a lot of big names who surely would have made use of his “services.” Hollywood’s a crazy place, but I don’t believe Bowers himself did all [waves hand] THIS. I *might* buy that he’s co-opted others’ stories as his own, but even that seems far-fetched.
Ew at the casual mentions of his own molestations as a kid.
The writing is NOT great, and worse, it’s boring.
