The plot evolves but I still don't feel the connection to the main characters I would want and/or some kind of tension, the pacing seems off because there is no order to who is telling the story and how many chapters they get. 
There are also many questions unanswered or things not considered:

-Where did Aelric and Dezia go? 
-What does Davon believe? 
- Has Asha actually thought about going into the Tributary? 

I really don't see how Dav and Wirr are "young men" (they don't seem mature enough to me) and Asha is still a "girl, like, how?

If there were plot twists I missed them. I feel like there are many minor problems that are solved within the next chapters but never over the length of the book. 
Still the world-building is good and the writing-style is nice.
