Ah, Robin Hobb, you sociopathic author!

Wow this was truly amazing. I feel like Robin Hobb just keeps on getting better with her writing.
I could barely put this down at times. It is slow and sometimes not a lot happens, but I just know that every little detail builds up to something.
I truly sometimes want to go inside the book and just shake Fitz for being so stupid. Like who wouldn’t recognize an extremely pale person as a messenger from the Fool?!
Oh and Molly! I never truly cared for her, but seeing her together with fits and caring for child so lovingly, that was considered „simple“ aka disabled. My heart broke, when she died so suddenly, but well it‘s Robin Hobb, it was to be expected.
I am so curious to get the full mythology behind Bee. She is Fitz‘s and the Fool‘s child? And she has the Skill and the Wit?

Oh damn I am excited for the next book, but as the same time I am dreading the what will happen and dreading the end of this wonderful series.

Having two PoVs was a refreshing change from previous Farseer books! I can see how this book sets up the final trilogy nicely, there's a lot of "scene setting" and introduction of plots. Robin Hobb is an excellent writer - the character
Shun
made me want to scream with annoyance!
Molly's death was heartbreaking for both Fitz and Bee and I was thinking about it for days.
Ended on a cliffhanger and I am keen to see how the next books starts - straight continuation or time jump.

Gosh darn it, Robin Hobb. I had sworn you off and I didn't even hate the Rain Wilds books, I just didn't need more of FitzChivalry somehow not seeing the obvious for hundreds of pages while we're all like "wait a tick, this seems weird, maybe think about it, Fitz?"

...still finished this book in one day, like I did the first three trilogies. I used to stay up til 2 in the morning reading these books, even when I was like "why is 15% of your personality yelling 'no homo' while loving The Fool as much as ever, FitzChivalry?"

Just wow. This book had me glued, I read through the night, read all all all day. I was enthralled with how this story progressed, so unexpected a plot and so cozy and vivid a telling. I was actually there with all of these characters. Plus, LOVED Bee and seeing this side of Fitz.
