Omg almost every plot point revolves around someone losing or forgetting their phone. These people are the worst at their jobs because they always lose and break shit, fall off the grid, nearly get killed, and fumble everything a long the way.

********** Contains Spoilers**********

I’ve been a fan of Dannika Dark, and the Mageriverse that she’s created since I purchased the Mageri Series Boxed Set back in 2014. I’ve read a lot of the books from the Mageriverse multiple times since then. My favourite go to reads from the Mageriverse are Closer, Risk, Three Hours & Two Minutes. I’m currently working my way through all of Dannika’s Mageriverse, as it’s been ages since I’ve immersed myself into the thrilling, action packed and amazing universe of Immortals and Breed that she’s created.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and I think they just keep on getting more exciting as the series continues, there’s a lot of twists and turns that I didn’t know what was going to happen next. Members of the Higher Authority are being m*rdered and Keystone is brought in to try and identify one of the victims, but they aren’t authorised to investigate the case any further, that’s the Regulators job. I really enjoyed that Dannika decided to chose that Cognito go into complete blackout, and that’s when the crazies come out.

The team at Keystone are tasked with getting members of the Higher Authority to a selected church which is a safe haven. It would usually be the job for the Regulator but since most of them are Chitah’s they’ve left their posts to protect their loved ones, as to a Chitah their family comes first. Things heat up between Christian and Raven but because Raven’s maker Houdini wiped her memories she doesn’t know if she can even trust herself, so there’s a wall between them. Houdini has such a hold over Raven and she doesn’t even seem to realises that he’s got and end goal for everything and she’s a massive part of it.

After Christian demanded Houdini to give Raven her memories back, he did but then planted the seed that the heart that Christian gave Raven was gifted to another before that. Raven isn’t happy especially when she finds Christian has been keeping a major secret that he hadn’t wiped her father’s memories. Christian would do absolutely anything for Raven but she can’t see it. I loved that Shepherd is able to know his son, he even gave him his name. The boy was given the name that was always meant to be his Hunter Moon.

I’m hoping the team at Keystone becomes the safe haven and the family that Hunter needs. I’m wondering what Houdini’s end goal is? Will Raven and Christian ever be on the same page, who was the women that showed up at the end, is she the one that was originally gifted the heart that now adorns Raven’s neck, and what are Cyrus and his “brothers” after from Niko? I’m looking forward to reading the next book and finding out what case Keystone is investigating next. I’d definitely recommend this book, series, universe and author to everyone.

Another winner

Im in love with this series. The book was fantastic. The storyline was full of action and drama with some unexpected twist and turns. I just love the characters she has created and like that we get to know them more with each book. There's a little cliffy at the end but nothing major. This just gets me excited for the next one.

So I had listened to some of this before I got on a plane but when I say this helped me fly I mean it. It was a really nice read and I enjoyed every part of listening to the narrator.

This focuses a lot on the team working together to move officials during a blackout. It sounds quite simple but parts had me geniunely giggling and gasping.

The romance scenes were steaaaamy. Loved those.

Here we go again…. Freaking Raven ignoring her heart and everything she feels because she doesn’t get her way. Glad we don’t have to hear the memory excuse any more… although I’m sure there will be more reasons why she shouldn’t be with Christian. Geez, she doesn’t deserve him! She does whatever she wants with no regard for his feelings and then gets mad at him over trying to help and protect her. She’s turning into a total b&tch that I don’t care much for.
This series is 10 books long so I guess DD feels like situations should take several books to get resolved. But I’m about sick of Raven and this back and forth and the way she doesn’t trust Christian even after all he’s done to earn it. She’s mad about one thing or another. Christian saves her dads life and she throws a fit. Ugh…. I can’t stand her for much longer!

I had to skim and skip a lot of this book. I think it’s time I take a break from the series as I’ve been reading them one after another to this point and I’m getting bored. Same thing new book. And if Houdini becomes some All Knowing idol of Raven’s I’m gonna lose my sh@t. This is a man who sells women! Come on…. Quit making him some hero.
And the way Shepherds son’s situation went down really bugged me. Thank goodness Gem had a heart and brought them to their senses.

Good thing I’m reading these when all the books are out, because these cliffhanger endings would PISS ME OFF if I couldn’t go right to the next book.

Honestly? I’m getting bored with this off again and on again business. Compared to the danger they face in these books, the small betrayals in their relationship seem meaningless. It’s getting old.
