This is such a cute little book about a Christmas tree farm even though you hardly really hear about the Christmas trees. These friends that have been friends for nine years finally have to fake date and that helps them to realize that they’re in love. I liked her love interest but I actually didn’t like her very much. And she’s the main character so that made it hard. She was just really oblivious and ridiculous sometimes. But I loved all the other characters inside characters so much that I think I’ll definitely continue with the series because they seem much more interesting

This was such an easy book to love. The characters are cute and the story was sweet. There was even a little bit of a mystery built in pertaining to the tree farm’s ongoing string of bad luck. And I loved how that was resolved!

Talking briefly about the spicy scenes in the spoiler below. No actual spoilers.

The sex scenes were written so sensually. I think they were the most tastefully romantic things I’ve ever read or listened to. No vulgar descriptive words required to convey the tension, passion, romance, and  sex between characters.

The writing is quite nice, and the story was reasonably enjoyable. However I was looking for a light, feel-good holiday romance, and was surprised at the serious tone of the book. There were light moments, but a lot of time was spent on Estelle and Luka's grief about their respective parents' deaths (her mother, his father). I feel like this bogged down the story. It's not that it was bad, but it's not what I was looking for. I enjoyed the mystery aspect of the sabotage on the farm, and the influencer's visit was enjoyable as well. I also enjoyed the side characters, especially Beckett and Layla. I liked the conclusion of the story, especially regarding the farm's financial woes. If you're looking for a Christmas story with some serious themes, this would work for you. The spicy scenes were alright as well, I'd say this is a medium-high heat book.

“Did you punch him in the face?” Chapter 19

This was such a cute book! Friends to lovers is tied as my favorite trope (along with second chance)! This was, however, my first Fake Dating trope🙈 If I’m honest… it made me really anxious. I felt like the whole time I was waiting for the breakup and then it happened in like 2 chapters, which I had mixed feelings for. That’s nothing to do with the book and probably just because I’ve never read this trope before. I absolutely LOVED Luka🥰 he’s the best friend to boyfriend we wish we had 😅😍 I honestly loved the small twin setting too. I WISH I could go to Lovelight farms and meet everyone 😭😭 Even though I was nervous for the whole book that didn’t stop me from loving every single second of it (aren’t the best books the ones that you have a love hate relationship with…yes yes they are). I really loved that Stella’s friends pointed out that her farm didn’t need a man helping her run it to be “romantic and storytelling” that was a favorite part for me.

I understand why Stella felt the need to add in a boyfriend (not only in hopes of becoming more with luka but the contest wise as well). However, i didn’t necessarily like how her character felt borderline dumb at time. Maybe its because she lives in a small town, but if there were CONSISTENTLY  problems happening on my property (even if I thought it was a bunch of kids “messing around”) I would go and get help to stop them and teach the “rowdy” kids why you don’t destroy property! I wouldn’t think it would magically stop and think all these “random things” weren’t connected!!! That seemed to make me dislike Stella a bit, i wanted her to have a bit more of a backbone to standup for herself or get help.

Overall, I really enjoyed this Christmas story!😍 I definitely recommend reading this if you haven’t picked it up!
