i almost hated this book... i found gus to be so annoying but turns out that was her character arc :') so yay for development!! i think i liked the actual plot of this less than the first one but the ending/build up for book 3, sounds so much fun!
Graphic: Sexism, Sexual assault, Classism
Moderate: Confinement, Cursing, Death, Homophobia, Violence, Blood, Religious bigotry, Murder, Lesbophobia, Injury/Injury detail
Minor: Rape
Very enjoyable but less substance to the plot than the first book. I liked the developments in Julia’s and Gus’ relationship but would have liked more development with Evan and Kent. Some interesting side characters as well.
This one didn't hit quite as much as book one but it was still addictive. It was one primary story rather than broken into smaller tales, which I expected to make things better.
I still love the characters, I need moreee
