If I have to give a brief review of this one, I will say this is a short, insightful read about economics and its relative term and how they are still relevant in modern economic scenarios.

We go to top B schools and study books written by the most advanced American economist or some noble economist but why do we forget we have a masterpiece right in front of us, Arthshastra. I really liked the detailed and briefed research done by the author on Arthastra, written by Kautilya also known as Chanakya.

It was intriguing to read how the past where kings and ministers and etc. took care of the kingdom and how its been changing to modern times but if we look closely very few things have changed,

this book is divided into 8 chapters where the first chapter gives a brief about Kautilya and Arthashastra and later about the economy and welfare. I was intrigued to read about the last chapter "How Kautilya would view the post-pandemic world" in this chapter author talked about the emergence of AI and the consequence of working-class people and many such things that have impacted the world after the pandemic

I really liked reading this book and overall my curiosity about Kautilya and Zarathustra has increased, and I would definitely explore the author's upcoming work.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who is intrigued by arthashtra and has basic knowledge in economics. Loved it and recommended it from my side
