Increadible tale of two lovers whose fate is already sealed. Madeline Miller was able to writte a breathtaking story which will make you not want to put the book down even if you are already well versed in the myth of Achilles and Patroclus.

Madeline Miller has such a way with words. I got so used to the way she wrote her world and her characters that I forgot that not everyone writes like that, not everyone is able to perfectly show what she means with the most correct words. Truly a one in a million writer.

This is one of the most beautiful books I have ever read. It started my love for Greek mythology and it’s a book I felt like I was unable to let go of. It was a pure coincidence that I bought it, but I do not regret it one bit. The beautiful relationship between Achilles and Patroclus truly makes it a wonderful love story with no comparison. Favorite book ever.

This is the most poetic book i have ever read. The words were just flowing like a song. Very fitting for the title. I loved everything about it.
The story itself was magical and it felt like an escape from the real world. There’s just something about this book… it radiates light and darkness at the same time.
