I picked this up on impulse one day and am SO glad I did! The artwork and world building was all so incredibly gorgeous.
I do agree with some other reviewers who said that they wanted a bit more depth to the characters' wishes and backstories. I also kind of wish (ha) that the wishes could have been fulfilled in a different way, especially sincethere was that comment from Eli towards the beginning about the well fulfilling the wishes they didn't know they had, and giving them what they needed. I'm not mad about it by any means! It just felt a little bit inconsistent.
Overall though, I would still highly recommend this, especially to those who love beautiful artwork, interesting monsters, and heartfelt family relationships (I was surprised at how much I was tearing up at the end omg) – and of course, some adorable disaster gays sweeten the deal ♡
