This entire series was addictive, that said I feel like book five might have been rushed as there were some typos and some parts that contradicted itself.

That aside I didn’t enjoy book five as much as the others. I found myself frustrated and wondering how the book would end,
with Hartley spending half of the book with no memory of the past three years of her life. I hated her family and how they could continue to be so cold to her even after her accident.

In the beginning it seemed like even though Easton had good intentions he just couldn’t stop screwing up and the Royal boys really need some help. Callum has spent so long being a poor excuse of a father that he can’t even make up for it at this point. These boys have had no guidance and have just used money, sex, alcohol and drugs to solve every single problem that they have.

Also hello!? Steve is crazy as hell but I definitely wasn’t expecting THAT to happen.
Also Ella and Easton finding out they share a father in Steve which means that kiss they shared in book 1 was incest (ew).
Like it was weird at first with Ella technically being adopted into the Royal family and then dating Reed, but I turned a blind eye to it because they weren’t blood related and didn’t grow up together.

By the end Easton really did come into his own and I was glad to see that character development.
I appreciate that Hartley didn’t magically get all of her memories back but learned to be okay with what she has in the present and building upon it.

I do wish that we got to know the other brothers a bit more, the series really only focused on Reed and Easton. I feel like the twins had such an interesting dynamic
and I would have loved to explore about how their dynamic changed after Sebastian woke up from his coma.
Anyway, what a great writing duo Elle Kennedy and Jen Frederick are!
