I will not flatter this book with Taylor Swift songs.

I really regret buying this book. No offense to the author, but this was not worth what I paid for it. I had so much hope for this book too! I thought from the plot description and the reviews it was going to be a no-brainer, that I would love it, but I was completely wrong. I will not be buying a book I haven’t read before again!! The writing was very juvenile, adding a lot of cheesy lines and general awkward pacing. The plot, while action oriented, was somehow also extremely boring and very predictable. I didn’t connect with the characters at all. It didn’t really explain why they liked each other very well, other than they were hot?? It also really glossed over many problem solving moments. For example, these people hadn’t spoken in years, and within 1 page phone call they were best friends again. It didn’t explain why they decided to forgive each other, it was a cold feud that turned into besties again within 1 page, like what?? (Some real “power of friendship” crap) It just feels very much like a Wattpad book, and I did not enjoy this. I would return it if I could. I will not be reading books by this author again. It took be so long to get through, and I could tell by the first 50 pages that I regretted buying it.

Age rating: 16+, (there were two brief spicy scenes that went from 0 to 1000 in like half a page, the timing was really off/rushed, 2/5🌶️)
