I don’t really like the repetition of scenes from prior books but just from a different point of view but I really liked Remo and Serafina’s story.

Oddly enough this book was the one I least looked forward to. While I hadn’t ever read this one, I did get a taste of the kidnapping in Fragile Longing, so I had an idea of what would happen toward the end but not how we get there. I was crazy because Remo and Serafina are everything!! Why is it that Cora can not create a couple that doesn’t become a favourite?! I can’t choose anymore! I think I didn’t want this book to happen because Remo is just so great being the villain, even though we do know he has a heart. He’s great single and I almost wanted to let that remain. On the other hand, I now see how great he is at the relationship thing.
I said this about the previous book, but what I like about Remo (and his family) are that they are progressive and down to earth. I love Luca’s clan, but they really are old school and the women follow such strict rules. I’m liking how free-ing the Camorra men are. Remo kidnaps Fina, but ultimately sets her free. It’s the classic story of the villain getting the heart, and it’s great. Despite his actions, I loved him and I loved how he never hurt her, even when he planned on it.
I wasn’t 100% loving Fina. She did the entire first half willingly yet still said she hated him, while the next second denying those claims to herself. Which is it? She thought he sent her away, but where in that, did it seem like that? If he never did what he did, she would hate him for not doing it at all. What’s a man supposed to do with that!? Then she only went back when he was there, so I wonder, would she at all? She didn’t even try to make connection with him, to gauge his reaction on the news. Overall, I only enjoyed Serafina about 50% of the time.
Other than her, I loved everything else about this book, including the well deserved cameo of Matteo and Romero, and all the snippets of Leona and Kiera.

This is not that kind of heavy book, but it definitely stirred me heavily. I couldn’t put it down and even missed my lunch. In general, I had a fantastic reading experience

The end result was worth it but the rest was just OKAY. Again captor/captive is not my favourite. The outfit were so horrible to Serafina and she did not deserve it. I just wasn’t feeling this but I liked Remo and Serafina as a couple.

4.5/5 ✨, GRETA & NEVIO>>>, I actually love babies man like they are fucking adorable also kidnapping trope is just too good, the girl falling for her captor is the best thing that can happen in a book, actually no WHEN the girl softens the monsters heart IS WAY better. THE BOND BETWEEN HER N HER TWIN THO WAS FUCKING ADORABLE she called him “my protector” even tho he is like 6mins older than her BUT besides that, it was really fucking cute

Last 10% could’ve been snippitity snip snapped out or at least flat ironed down bc it became a little repetitive at some points.
This book was longer than the others (unnoticeably so to me bc I DEVOURED this in two and a bit sittings) but had they removed a smidgen from the ending then it wouldn’t have crashed so much.
Having said that, bloody LOVED the friggin couple, the plot points, the pacing, etc lovelovelove
Remo was gentle with her too and she never became “submissive”.
