The second Lucius Fogg book builds upon the momentum of the first and doesn't let go. We're allowed a deeper look at the characters this time around, this is no bad thing by any stretch of the imagination, though hopefully Fogg has a few more secrets up his immaculately tailored sleeve.

Like the first the first one, this novel is built out of a previously published story but this one feels less piecemeal. Wickline has that rare ability to flit between comedy and drama at the drop of a hat. With each Fogg story, that line gets thinner and thinner. It's wonderful.

Now, how about that Tiny and Patches spinoff?
