I love my vodka aunts that’s it’s that’s the review send Tweet.

In all seriousness though the heartache and inspiration peppered in between the hilarity truly is incredible. I loved this book and will be recommending it to everyone.

I’ve been a huge fan of LadyGang for years so I was so excited for this book. It made me laugh, cry, and feel less alone as a woman navigating this crazy world. Even if you’ve never listened to the podcast this is a great read. It’s full of honest and hilarious stories that many people can relate to no matter where you are at in life.

Hilarious life advice book from the three women behind the Ladygang podcast. Told in a series of chapters from each of the ladies perspectives about failed relationships, broken friendships, career successes and failures, body image and mental health struggles, eating disorders, alcohol abuse, loss of loved ones and so much more. Real, raw and completely authentic. Full of empowering and motivating advice told with a giant dose of humor. Great on audio and definitely recommend, especially for fans of books by other badass podcasting women like Feminasty, #IMomSoHard and Stay sexy and don’t get murdered.

Favourite quotes:
“If we didn’t have ladies to lean on womanhood would be completely unbearable.”

“Our value has been based far too much on things outside of us and frankly we are sick of it. Women are dynamic and real and messy and smart and we have so much more to offer than society’s bunk-ass expectations of us.”

“The truth is we are all struggling and crumbling behind our smiling profile pictures.”

“If you feel like your life is a disaster and you have no idea what you’re doing, congrats! That is what makes you a lady! Women are complicated, intricate, messy, beautiful, creatures, and it’s about time we start embracing our imperfections.”

An easy airport read/listen. I’m a fan of the podcast, and this book was fine. It wasn’t life changing or even really inspiring for the most part, but it was an easy read. It does touch on heavy potentially triggering topics such as suicidal thoughts/attempts and death.

*Thanks to Rodale Books + NetGalley for the ARC!*

I fucking LOVE the LadyGang, so of course I've preordered this book and immediately requested the ARC on NetGalley.

What I think this book does well:
- I could literally hear each of them speaking their chapters because the tone of their writing was so similar to how they actually speak on the podcast (and that's more rare than people realize!).
- There's *a lot* of vulnerability in the book. Each woman tells her stories authentically, and in more detail than we've heard before. I especially appreciated Becca's chapter about her fiance's death. Knowing how challenging that must be to speak about and that Becca wasn't on board to write this book, that chapter specifically really stood out to me.
- This feels like a first book and that leaves a ton of room for future books! There's a lot of formative stories and background info, and if you're not an existing fan, it's exactly what you need to get hooked on the LadyGang.

Not a fan of the LadyGang yet? That's not a reason to skip this book! Keltie, Becca, and Jac are relatable, they're thirties, they're THRIVING, and during quarantimes, YOU NEED A LAUGH. This is it. Read, relate, share with your friends.

I’ve listened to the Lady Gang podcast since Day #1, but this book just makes me love them even more. It will by far be the most beautiful book on your bookshelf, that’s a guarantee. Some stories will make you laugh so hard you can’t breathe, some stories will make you want to cry, and their vulnerability will make you want to give them a big group hug! (But you can’t because #socialdistancing). I wish they could have had a chance to have a book tour so I could tell them in person how much I loved this book, so hopefully if you read this review it will convince you to go grab a copy and the sales will speak for me. Great job Keltie, Jac, and Becca! Your hard work paid off and you made a lovely (best-selling) book!

This was just……..not good. Luckily I had a lot of time to waste in airports recently, so I got through it. Wouldn’t recommend.
