I came into this book because I loved Stjepan's other comics like Sunstone and Death Vigil so I knew what I could have expected in this volume, and he didn't disappoint but what I wasn't ready for was the cameo appearance which was such a fun surprise.
The art style is beautiful and it shows on every page the thought and care that went into it, and not to mention the coloring! Bright and vivid and speak louder than words on the full page panels! Seriously fantastic work.
This first volume shows a lot of different arcs starting so if this is anything like his Sunstone series, I can't wait to see how all of these characters are going to intersect and eventually connect with each other. Since this first volume is really setting up the world and the arc builds for the next volume, I'm going to give it a steady 3 stars because I can see the start of a few possibilities but I am excited and can't wait for the next one.
