While I don't think this book suffered heavily from middle book sydnrom, it did stall in places- especially in the beginning. It was not really until page 100 that the action started to get into motion. That being said- the ending bumped this up from a 3 star to a 4 star. How dare Akemi Dawn Bowman do this >:(

I really loved this continuation of the Infinity Courts world. I really am hoping for another book soon, because this was so good it gave me a book hangover.

Akemi Dawn Bowman is great at leavi g things on a cliffhanger, that I'm both mad and not mad at them for doing it.

Absolutely love this world - I can't wait for the third book to come out!

Why I loved this book:
- characters are really well developed
- the main character is a great perspective to follow
- great relationships (f/f friendships especially)
- cool battle & fight scenes
- interesting concept, plot and magic system
- fantastic world building, I really feel like I have visited Infinity!
- twists and turns, even the ones I saw coming came in a way I wasn't expecting
- the ending! It was strong and has left me excited to pick up the next one!

One thing I wanted more of was Nix (essentially a magical battle snow leopard) - since he was on the cover I thought he'd be a big part of the story, and he wasn't in the book as much as I wanted. I wish Nami had utilised / hung out with him more!!

There is a bit of a romance in this series but it's not the focus of the story at all (in case you are looking for that!) - although potentially it'll play more of a part in the third book! Let's see!

Another good installment from a strong, promising writer! In part two of The Infinity Courts , Nami changes drastically; however, these personality changes make sense given the reveals and plot twist in the first book, and therefore the change in demeanor felt justified. The novel had a few cliché plot lines just like the first book, but the world is still interesting and new characters remain a positive contributor to this series' success. I eagerly anticipate the final book in this trilogy!
