I liked it well enough. Although it certainly didn't give me that haunted itchy spellbound feeling of never getting enough of it. But more like a distracted oh-where'd-I-leave-my-chapstick sort of feel. Loved the storyline though . Maybe as I read more volumes I'll be more into it and it'd get more darker and funny.

Fables is a really fun comic series that takes all your classic fairy tale characters and sticks them into modern day New York. The basic setup for the story is that the Adversary has waged war on the realms of the fables, and those that survived have fled to our realm and are hiding out in New York City. They have been here for centuries, and are living undercover, keeping their real identities secret. Main characters are Snow White, Rose Red, Prince Charming, Bigby Wolf (we know him as the big bad wolf), Jack, Boy Blue, and many more. Its honestly a lot of fun, and I am pretty addicted.

I tried this after it being recommended by a colleague. Best decision ever! It's full of characters I've grown up with, with a twist. I would recommend this to ANYONE!

Didn't like this at all. Art is the best part. Didn't care for the Once Upon a Time style of story telling and at times it felt way too wordy which seems silly but most of it felt too mundane. Ultimately the big reveal was really weak and maybe that is because I have no idea who some of these characters are. I won't be continuing this adventure.
