This was a very interesting new take on supernatural characters. I enjoyed the storyline, plot and cast of characters. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because of the depth of information (every minute detail) of every scene. I love the way the author built the characters (I felt like I knew them) however, it took her over 5 pages to set up the 1st sex scene. Not to mention the sex was at the very end of the book. I don’t mind a little foreplay, but give us something, some self-pleasure, voyeurism, remembered experience, anything to get the romance part of the book going. I appreciate that we weren’t left hanging with Blair and Richard.

i enjoyed this but there were definitely bits of this book that could have been cut out/adjusted. i wish there was a little more emphasis on the romance aspect and i felt like the climax scene was so abrupt and short.

however, i did really enjoy most of the characters.
vanity’s betrayal at the end felt very confusing and kind of out of character. i wish there had been more lead up to it because it kind of felt like it came out of nowhere. idk how she’s supposed to remain in blair’s life after trying to kill him. why would anyone trust her again??

thinking about it, i do still have questions.
was vanity the one trying to kill him the entire book?  like, someone drugged him (what was the point of that btw) she set his house on fire and did a drive by shooting?? because if so, there’s no way in hell she should be allowed to be out and about with no consequences. and if she’s not, then who tf was??

The title set me up for low expectations. I was wrong! The book was surprisingly good!

While I did enjoy this book, I feel like it could have easily been 200 pages shorter. The story is good, and it's well written, if a little overly detailed and slightly repetitive at times.
Blair is a bit neurotic, and it's hard being inside his anxiety ridden brain so much, especially when circling around the same insecurities and past traumas.
Richard is cool, calm, and collected and I love the balance he brings in opposition to Blair.
I love their story and the way they bounce off each other... However with a title like Bite Me! I did not expect it to take 400 pages to get some 🌶️🔥, but when you do, it's really good!
The first half of the book is a slow slow climb, and the back third just flies. Over all I did enjoy the journey - perhaps some lingering questions about the town will be answered in the next book...

Love the cover of this book!! This one took me a while to get into, but once the story does pick up, it's a fun read. The town is amazingly close-knit and will do anything for their friends/ family, which I highly appreciate and makes me want to read more from this series as it progresses.

Side note; the audiobook is better imo than reading it. The narrators just make the story so much more captivating.
