i dnfed at 50% why is that book so damn long when there’s nothing to tell and it’s this BAD

a few things i didn’t like : - fatphobia. from everyone not only the bullies. it’s normalized that no boy in school would want her because she’s a size 18. the mmc himself basically ends up liking her IN SPITE of her weight
- why did he get so upset that she was a virgin ??
- stealing ffc’s song and rationalizing it
- pretending to hook up with her bully to hurt her
- calling thin girls ´skeletal’ even though he keeps hooking up with them.
- his antics are especially stupid on tour? it reads like something extremely uninspired and childish
- getting a girl to go down on fc while she was asleep + mc obviously liking it and not being jealous / bothered since it’s a girl (tells me a lot about the mc)
- no real connexion btw the characters - we’re told they grew closer after a few tutoring lessons, she was always obsessed with him, and they suddenly kiss. we’re expected to believe they’re still that into each other after years when they knew eo for two seconds and not even well
- what’s with all these girls being bullies or desperate girls ready to do anything for a guy because he’s famous ? literally all of them except for lennon and skylar. a lot of internalized misogyny here, guys get to be the good ones who deserve redemption in spite of everything, girls are all unimportant or doormats (including lennon and skylar)
- directly related to the previous point but phoenix (mmc) is unsurprisingly the biggest misogynist around

last thing that happened before i dropped this book is that mc got revenge for fc by dropping pig blood on the mean girl who bullied her in hs and did that to her when she was a teen. it only made me roll my eyes because there was no need to bring that girl on tour. apologize for YOUR shit instead of doing this (triggering the fc in the process)

it’s a bad wattpad story and nothing else.

I stayed up until 4:30 in the morning because I couldn’t stop reading. I related to Lennon a lot as a big girl. This book touched me in so many ways.

Loved the first 98% but the ending felt rushed and incomplete.

SUCH A GOOD READ! This story took me through the motions of both Phoenix & Lennon. Their love story is unique and this enemies to lovers book is not your typical but the authors character development, choice of wording and story line will have you wanting more!
