Heavier topics aside, this book is pretty ridiculous. Like, in what world are you showering at some guys house not once but twice due to the insistence of your own brother and HIS mother??? So many moments that were just funny due to their unbelievability. Other than that this really satiated my desire to read a fanfic haha. It was fun, it was sad, it was hilarious. It was entirely too long. I get it, I get the hype. I love Johnny and Shannon and I'm excited to continue their story.

Oops I’m responsible for my algorithm, and I messed myself up with this one…

This book could’ve easily been half the length with a better editor: quite a few chapters were regurgitated scenes that I’ve just read but done in another supporting character’s POV. The adults in here suck, and a lot (if not all) of their decisions were implausible. CPS should’ve been called on all of them.

Tedious reading.

Bonus 0.25⭐️ because I actually got to learn a bit about rugby 🏉

Wow, this book has made me feel like I just need to stare at a wall. I originally wasn’t going to pick up this series as it’s not usually my thing, however I have enjoyed this even if it is sad, tense, emotional, and it will hit you in the heart with how much the two main characters Shannon and Johnny go through.

It did hit me in the heart with some of the topics that are in this book, because I could relate slightly, and Chloe Walsh has written this so beautifully.
