The slow building tension of this book was perfect and even though it was long I didn't find myself getting bored too often. Though there were definitely a few scenes I felt like could have been much much shorter. And as much as I like this book- the only reason it's not a 5 for me is because of its length and the fact I'll never reread it due to how long it is.

Some chapters I just skimmed through and read the dialogue.
Im hoping Shannon gets her chance to blossom and become her own in the next book.

I honestly liked the flow of this book, and i like the characters. But i just cannot push through with the age gap. Sure, sheās 16 for half of the book, but damn he had thoughts of wanting to fuck her knowing damn well sheās 15! as a 15 year old, this is very uncomfortable to read. And she was literally described almost as a child!!! 5 flat who is skinny and really small????? And heās gigantic???? Literally no. š
I also donāt like how the men are so misogynistic going around calling women āwhoresā. And that one school staff getting with teenage boys? Hell nah.
I really wanted to finish this book because some parts are intriguing (was looking forward to how things will end with Shannon and her family), but I canāt put up with it anymore. I have already put myself in enough discomfort by reading half of the book.
I also canāt believe that only a few people mentioned those problems ^^ I expected so much, really disappointing and sad tbh. š„²
