I'm absolutely floored that I like this book as much as I do. It's usually something I wouldn't go for but I'm so insanely happy that I took a chance on this book.

The slow building tension of this book was perfect and even though it was long I didn't find myself getting bored too often. Though there were definitely a few scenes I felt like could have been much much shorter. And as much as I like this book- the only reason it's not a 5 for me is because of its length and the fact I'll never reread it due to how long it is.

The overall story I loved and definitely can't wait to read the next one but this was at least 100 pages longer than it needed to be.
Some chapters I just skimmed through and read the dialogue.

Im hoping Shannon gets her chance to blossom and become her own in the next book.

Sigh. šŸ˜Ŗ

I honestly liked the flow of this book, and i like the characters. But i just cannot push through with the age gap. Sure, sheā€™s 16 for half of the book, but damn he had thoughts of wanting to fuck her knowing damn well sheā€™s 15!  as a 15 year old, this is very  uncomfortable to read. And she was literally described almost as a child!!! 5 flat who is skinny and really small????? And heā€™s  gigantic???? Literally no. šŸ˜

I also donā€™t like how the men are so misogynistic going around calling women ā€œwhoresā€. And that one school staff getting with teenage boys? Hell nah.

I really wanted to finish this book because some parts are intriguing (was looking forward to how things will end with Shannon and her family), but I canā€™t put up with it anymore. I have already put myself in enough discomfort by reading half of the book.

I also canā€™t believe that only a few people mentioned those problems ^^ I expected so much,  really disappointing and sad tbh. šŸ„²
