Hauptsache: I read this book for German practice. Oooh man is it fluffy and a little too much sometimes. Things I didn't like: the way-too-often references to the weights and bodies of the characters and their daughters (!), and the weird things that occasionally jumped out at me, like the "super cultured" conversation about art among the Cologne elite that was "way over" Constanze's head - only it was basically a paragraph cut and pasted from the Da Vinci Code.
Things I liked: shoot, this book was fun! The women of the "Mutter Mafia" are great, and it is a pleasure to follow their friendship and adventures. Sure, the "bad guys" in the story are always cartoonishly awful and every time Constanze puts herself down there is inevitably some offhand comment about how hot she actually is and how expensive her clothes are... but whatever. Take it for what it is. I laughed, I grimaced, and since I went into this book not expecting something from the canon of world literature, I thought it was well worth my time.

Nachdem mir das erste Buch wider aller Erwartungen so gut gefallen hat, habe ich mich sehr auf das zweite Buc der Reihe gefreut.
Leider hat es mich nicht abgeholt. Viele Ansichten, auch von Constanze, reproduzieren Sexismen. Keine der Liebesgeschichten hat mich irgendwie berührt.

Am schlimmsten ist der Part in dem sie und Anton "endlich" miteinander Sex haben und Constanze aufeinmal die vierte Wand durchbricht um zu sagen, dass sie die Details doch bitte für sich behalten möchte. Wow.Hiermit endet diese Reihe dann für mich.
