I loved the plot line where the bridesmaids set up dates for Mads. I really liked her and thought her romance with the final guy was super cute. I was hoping they would get together in the end. But I can’t stand the bride and her problem. Like are you kidding me??!!?? You been spending like 4 years being standoffish, spelling yours fiancés sisters name wrong, and not putting any effort to connect with the family and then putting all the blame on them. Let you get mad at Mads for connecting with the other bridesmaids and yell at her when on the drive up YOU MADE ZERO EFFORT FOR CONVERSATION!!!! she was annoying and didn’t care about her at all.
I went in blind on this one not really remembering a book I've read by her in the past and was pleasantly surprised by it.

I didn’t like the book based on the back of it but I was like “you know what I’m going to give it a try” so I did. I don’t really like it at first but I figured the characters would get better as it went. And it did. But then right as the book was getting good the author forgets how to write. She skipped over the most important conversations of the book and everything that had building up the whole time was resolved in such a underwhelming way. It was so disappointing to read the whole book and for it all to be resolved in the easiest way. There would be a problem and the characters would find a solution and it felt like the solutions fell into their laps every time. This book had so much potential and I was greatly disappointed.

This was a really cute story, the plot is in a similar vein of To All The Boys, obviously isn’t a copy by any means, but if you like those type of stories this one is definitely for you! It’s fun to watch Mads reach the cusp of adulthood, and navigate choices that will decide the trajectory her life will take. She ends up forced into close proximity with a group of older (but still young) women who enlist themselves as her life mentors, offering advice and stories of their own experiences with young love, college, and first years away from home.
I really enjoyed this audiobook! The production and narrator were wonderful as well, such an enjoyable listen, I blew right through it while knitting and working around the house!
Thank you to Tantor Audio and NetGalley for an advanced listening copy, I’m so grateful and enjoyed it so much!

I'm already angry at Katie for not knowing his future husband's sister's name after 5 years. I can't continue like this!

A very cute and sweet YA romance! The family dynamics & friendships were my favorite part of the story, and I loved seeing the relationship grow between Mads and Katie. Mads is a very realistic teenage character, and I found the pop culture references to be fun and not overbearing. This is one I would definitely recommend for anyone wanting a light YA story. Oh, and I enjoyed the audio narration quite a bit, as well!
