This is a cute YA romance. I listened to the audiobook and Jennifer Jill Araya did a fantastic job. She has such a nice voice.

Mads is a seventeen year old whose brother just recently got engaged. She has been asked to be a bridesmaid in the wedding. This is an opportunity for her to get to know her future sister-in-law.

Mads has never dated or even been kissed. She goes on a series of dates to try to find her plus one for the wedding. The bridesmaid brigade helps her along the way.

Thank you NetGalley and Tantor Audio for the audiobook. All opinions are my own.

I enjoyed this, but I’m honestly not sure how I feel about it also. The pacing was interesting and it felt back and forth at times. I really loved Mads and most of the characters we meet along the way. Her final relationship was very sweet and I loved their last scene together. It felt odd to me because there was no epilogue, and it felt like it ended abruptly. I would have loved to have seen the actual wedding day play out and then what life for Mads was like in college. I did enjoy the story though and I would absolutely recommend this book!

Also, for anyone currently reading the book who is reading this review, Katie’s character arc is truly amazing. It does feel kind of quick, but just stick with it because I really did not like her at first.

Firstly, thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for an audio arc of this book. I have always enjoyed K.L. Walther's books. They are always really easy and quick to read. This book specifically follows Madeline, who goes through speed dates to find her first boyfriend with her brother’s fiancée's bridesmaid, while also trying to figure out if her brother is making a big mistake with this fiancée. K.L. Walther is really good at just making a cute YA romance book. I think her teenagers are very reflective of what teenagers go through. I think I’m just not a big fan of all the references in the book. I think sometimes it just becomes too much for me, and I get annoyed, which is what happened with this book. Other than that, I enjoyed it, and I enjoyed all the relationships in this book. The different dynamics were really interesting. Overall, recommend this book if you need something fast-paced and also if you just want a YA romance. Thank you again to the publisher and NetGalley for an audio arc in exchange for my honest review.

I loved this book so much, the family, the characters and everything all the relationships in the book weather it was romance or friendships. Every character that was friends with Mads or related to her were all very supportive throughout the whole book. That’s all I’m going to say for now
