Interesting, appealing and with useful information and examples for each lesson, but I'm not 100% sure everything will work. I'm not too convinced, even after the author encouraged the readers too many times to experiment the results by themselves. I may give this a try someday, although I'm already using a couple of techniques already, and they are resulting.

Book should be called “Nocturnal Wicca” rather than “Nocturnal Witchcraft.” The author unfortunately operates under the misinformation that Wicca and witchcraft are the same thing. Other than that and the author’s general “this is the only true way” attitude, some of the rituals and magickal techniques in this book are pretty interesting and definitely worth experimenting with. If you’re Wiccan this is probably a great book for you if you want to embrace the darker (in aesthetic only) parts of the Craft. If you’re not Wiccan and, like me, were hoping for some ideas to practice a darker form of witchcraft, this book is not worth your time. Not an awful read, but I was very disappointed upon learning that this was a book about Wicca and not, in fact, a book about witchcraft.

It was...okay. I gave it 4/5 stars because while it was definitely an interesting read and gave me a lot to think about, it went against a lot of things that other books had taught me. I am not likely to use most of the information that was presented in the book, but I will put what I can into practice. I don't think it is really a good idea to do godform assumption for most of these rituals and spells, that sort of thing should be saved for extremely special or important things. Not just whenever you want to do something and really really want it. We will try other books by Konstantinos to see if we like them any better than this one.

I wish I could give this book 3.5 stars... It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't phenomenal in my opinion. I was glad to see that he touched on some topics that many other authors seem almost afraid to talk about (such as death, the after life and mind reading), and I found several things that I intend to try and a couple I have already experimented with. This isn't a typical Wicca and Witchcraft 101 book, since it's geared more towards those of us who are more nocturnal (no one would ever guess that by the title, though, would they?), but I think those who practice during the day or night could find something useful or interesting in this book. I got the sense that he takes himself a bit too seriously, though. Maybe it was just his choice of words...

As with any author, he wrote about what he knows and believes, and as with any other book, you don't have to take it as gospel and do everything in it. I found many things that were useless to me (such as casting a nocturnal circle, since I rarely cast a circle anymore), but there were also many things that inspired me and that I may try out eventually. I would recommend this book, if for no other reason than it being from a different perspective. It's not a typical 101 book, as I said, but there are many of the same concepts, just presented in a new light.
