This story blew me away.

I loved the characters, especially our MC, Kira and the shipmind Gregorovich. The science in this story was so interesting and the extra info in the back made me more interested in the book (I read it first before starting).

The way the author made the discovering other species was original and cool too. Soft Blade was an interesting being/ character and I loved how it was explored. The ending blew me away as well and the last 150pages I definitly couldn't stop reading.

One thing I did dislike was the cryo moments. Sometimes they did drag on too long and pulled us out of the main story. But otherwise this was a great book and it gave me more interest in trying out more scifi books!

This book had such a strong beginning, and then really fell flat towards the end. It felt like this books should have been split into a series in order to give the story and characters time to really grow.
