I found the concept of this quite intriguing. I was disappointed by the language though.

I liked this book for the most part. The theories were interesting though the book was a bit difficult to follow at times. Could that be cuz I had been up 24 hours? I don't know. It was my first book read by Reichs. I would probably read more.

I've read most of Kathy Reichs' books and found most of them somewhat engaging, but this one didn't really do it for me.

Not only does this book in the Temperance Brennan series live up to the standards set by its forensic predecessors, it also puts a forensic spin on the Da Vinci Code genre of books (i.e. fiction books that question religious history as its been propagated and the motives behind such dogma). I found it quite interesting, though at times occasionally confusing. However, my confusion really just mirrored that of the characters who were trying to decipher a mystery, so it wasn't a bad confusion.
All in all, the book had adventure as well as sprinkles of humor throughout. As with the previous books, I'd recommend it to any fans of Patricia Cornwell's early Kay Scarpetta books (anything until "Black Notice") or fans of CSI and the like.

Ms Reichs at her best. There is nothing I love more than a crime novel with history in it. This look on how Jesus may have lived till he was eighty and that his bones ended up in Canada is gripping and with a bit of Ryan chucked in for good measure keeps the reader wanting more. =]
