Lots of action and murder but not a lot of reason too it. The summary says the book is about the main male protagonist and a group of three interesting women, but the women are only mentioned more than half way through the book…one of them only gets a few lines of dialogue and no motivations as well…

Main character reminds me of the mc from Murakami’s “Hard Boiled Wonderland” (a classic male grunt in a nice suit working for a big organization who is assumed to be highly skilled at his job)

A quietly simmering story that resembles a slowly stretched elastic band waiting to be snapped.
If you're looking for an action-packed thrill-ride this isn't it, it brought to mind the pacing of The 39 Steps and featured Tarantino-esque dialogue that dialed up the threat level with each passing chapter.
