I get so pissed off when I see people say like "wow this was the most twisted book ever!!!!!" and then it turns out to be like barely anything at all. well that is absolutely NOT what happened here. This book had some seriously sick stuff in it, to the point where I was squirming at multiple parts. This isn't necessarily a bad thing but it is decidedly NOT for everyone!! Lots of animal gore and death, extremely graphic descriptions of self mutilation and body horror, just a whole bunch of nasty nasty stuff. VERY old school horror vibes here.
It took me a second to get into this, mostly because I find it boring to read about groups of characters that are entirely male. Like were there any women in this? I just don't care about boys like that :) imagine how much fun it would have been if it was girl scouts this happened to. Anyway.
Once it gets going it is just brutal though. I would honestly not recommend this to people who aren't big horror fans, it's definitely not for the faint of heart. But if you can stomach it, it's a fun read with some great horror elements.
