for me

This book took me so long to read because it got soooo boring. The beginning was good and intriguing but as it got on it was bad. The story was very basic and stereotypical. I wish it didn’t end on a cliff hanger just so I don’t have to suffer through another book. Sadly I can’t just not finish a book or DNF so I’m stuck. I’m gonna wait as long as I can before reading the next book. I also didn’t like the way the story was going. I especially didn’t like the ending with SPOILER ALERT: TRIGGER WARNING with the girl getting raped by the ex. I wasn’t a fan of that. I don’t normally mind that in a book but I’m this book it just it didn’t work. For me it’s a 2/5

Pretty good but Rose kind of annoyed me sometimes.

Reapers and Roses was an okay book. In it, you will meet Rose and Easton. Yeah, Rose was used to a certain kind of lifestyle.. or at least her mom was. Yet, when they had to move things kind of went downhill. Her mom started drinking way more than usual and she actually had to work (gasp!). Then Rose had to go to public school (double gasp!) and yeah.. things were definitely different for these two.

Enter Easton. Yeah, he kind of saves her and he definitely has a thing for her. Then things get a little complicated between them. Especially when her ex comes back into town. Now he definitely muddied things between them because of what went down throughout this book. Like, hot damn - I didn't even get a second to breath.

Don't get me wrong, it was good and I couldn't put the book down. However, that damn ending - ugh, cliffhangers suck so much. I think what actually happened is dumb.. but like what they all decided to do after the bad thing actually happened. No idea if that makes sense.. but if I could slap characters - I would slap all of them.

This book was okay, nothing special but not horrible. Here's why:

- The plot was basically that the main heroine was always in danger and the hero always saved her.
- Typically I like a protective guy but here it just felt so predictable and boring?
- I didn't like the characters, they were pretty plain in my opinion. I didn't "get to know" them.
- I'm not going to read the next book because it didn't captivate me, even though this book ends in a cliffhanger, which is very rare.
- I liked that it wasn't too long.

XO

Instant connection

Easton and Rose’s story starts out with an instant connection when their eyes connect. From that moment on there is no resisting each other, even though Easton tries to fight it. But when Rose continuously finds her she in dangerous situations he’s always there to save her. Their love hate relationship is so full of passion that you can’t help but to root for them as they encounter a drugged out ex, Easton’s father gang business, and Easton’s fighting career. This book ends on a tragic cliffhanger that has your soul weeping.

The reason I didn’t give it 4 stars was because there were some editing issues that slightly put me off.

When I began reading and realised Rose was a petulant and condescending girl, I thought "well she's going to adjust to her new life". Well that didn't last long. She was so fucking judgemental all through the book. She didn't grow as a character and stayed the same horrible person. She thinks she's better than everybody else when she is clearly not. And looking down at poor people ? That was the worst.

I liked Easton, Logan and Jackson and hated Cara. So yeah, I don't know if I'll be reading the next books.

When I was younger I used to throw mayo on leftover rice and called that my after-school snack. This book just made me think about that cuz my rice had more flavor than every single character here combined

I'm praying for this bland couple to find their peace

Wow

Another amazing read from this author. I'm so so so happy that I have the next book all ready to go, because I'm way too impatient to find out what happens next. Okay, bye, I'm going to start the next book now.
