I was waiting for the reveal that Bryant was a serial killer who just so happened to bring home a greater predator. All coincidence and only a passing acknowledgement of what the investigators found in his dungeon-like home. It wouldn't be for any great reason, I just would have liked it.

I think this is the weirdest book I've ever read. Don't take the "body horror" warning lightly.

(Also, is this based on Venom fanfiction?)
