This book. Oh my gosh.
So, throughout the book I was like 'Yeah, this is great. I'm enjoying this.' I shed a few tears, laughed a little, connected with the characters, fell in love with the story - and basically everything about the book. Then, in the last 100 or so pages... tears.
And I mean TEARS. I mean I had to put the book down after every page to have a 15-minute crying session. I mean I couldn't write this review after I'd finished because I couldn't see the keyboard, I was crying so much. I mean I actually felt slightly sick because I was sobbing so much.
This book just hit me so hard. The characters. The writing. The subject matter. Also, the fact I was reading this at 3 AM probably had something to do with my extreme reaction - but that's not to diminish this incredible book.
Once I've regained some of my emotional stability, I will pick up Kathleen Glasgow's other books. Which I know I will love.
So, take away from this review: Read this book if you want all the feels and an insight into the lives of people struggling with their mental health. And basically, if you want to be blown away.
(TW: Book subject matter involves suicide, self-harm, addiction.)

Kathleen Glasgow got me fucked up,this was an extremely emotional book to go through and it wasn't easy to read. Charlie had went through so much shit, she's lost her friend(semi),her mother whom i already think she didn't give much of a shit about her, however she manages to get out of the 'cutters clinic' to start a brand new life, she lands a job as a dish washer, gets a new flat after living at Michael's for a while. Riley who got her the job was an addict and so he asked Charlie to bring him in the candy, and she did as shes already fallen for him. As time went on he treated her badly even though he was charming(fuck you Riley). He goes into some trouble and goes to rehab. Charlie had tried her best not to touch her tender kit,not to harm herself anymore but she did at her last straw when Riley failed to keep her by his side(fuck you Riley). In the end she seems to be a lot happier, full of hope, shes got her friend blue and the others. To summarise the summary, this story broke my fucking heart,l wanted to hug Charlie,l wanted to tell her it'll be fine so much, I really got immersed even after I finished reading the story,l just wished Riley could ve had her back but his loss(fucking loser),I kept thinking to myself that this is beyond horrible(Charlie's life). Despite all of that I got somehow a wholesome ending.
