This will be the last Preston & Child book I read. I said that about the last one, but this is the nail in the coffin. What does having 2 writers get you? Two-dimensional characters that are sadly stereotypical. If you're looking to read Preston & Child, stick to Relic and Still Life With Crows. Those are the only good ones.

Preston and Child's first book, THE RELIC, is one of my all-time favorite thrillers. After several very-good-but-not-great novels, they have once again hit paydirt with THE CABINET OF CURIOSITIES.

A creepy mix of serial killers, mysterious goings-ons, and dark family secrets, this one kept me turning pages late into the night.

Recommended.
