It was very enjoyable to read. I loved the way Amy and Dan's characters were still being developed without taking away from the joy of the clue hunt we were reading about.

Another solid effort in this series, probably is my favourite of the first five, contained a lot of history abotu Russia which was interesting. Still couldn't give it over 3 stars though.

The hunt moves to Russia and the siblings find an unexpected ally - fast-paced plot with mostly likable characters

It has a really good cover. Yes, the series just has its very creative covers with their embossed, glossy stuff. It's what attracts readers. The cover may be really pretty, but its also very pricey. It's really expensive! It doesn't deserve its price. It costs too much, but doesn't contain enough. The story is.. forgettable.

When I buy a book worth that much, I want a book worth reading. And I don't think the book --- the series actually --- deserves to be a book. Maybe it's better off as a TV series.

I love this series of books. I started reading them with my son but ended up reading on my own.

They're fast paced, page turners that really keep you going till the end. On to the next one!

Ok this is definitely my favorite of the 39 clues! I absolutely love the Holts!! I mean they are hilarious! "Hammer out"! LOL... This one takes place in Russia, I believe, and it was also probably my favorite of the history parts, what with Rasputin and the apparently immortal Russian Royal Family. I feel like with this one Amy and Dad (ok maybe only Amy) find out waaaay more about their parents, and many of the secrets floating around are finally brought to light. Anyway book 5 will always be the best in my heart due to its humor and the actual story! (A close second being book 9, in JAMAICA!)
