Dark and weird and beautifully written, this is a compelling read. I loved the premise, and I think it will stay with me for a very long time.

jennifer’s body meets tokyo ghoul with commentaries on white heteronormativity and denying your truest self. yes, i know that sounds pretentious. no, it is not as pretentious as i just made it sound.

it is a quick read but has stayed with me for a couple days now. the main character *literally* carries this hungry desperation with her throughout the entire story and it makes you as the reader feel incredibly, deeply bad. i would and i think i will read it again to collect my thoughts in a much more coherent manner. the only reason i knocked off a star was because it was written in a way that i think could’ve packed more description (which is really just a personal opinion & i would’ve only bumped it down by half a star if i could’ve).
