Reading this again I got so much more out of it than I did as a teen. It is also painfully fascinating to see the parallels with the current political climate.

This book is such a quick read, and it is so worth reading.

concise, poignant, creative, and completely fantastic. in a matter of a few short letters we grow attached to each character, invested in their lives and relationship. it is easy to feel devastation and shock with each following letter. it captures a pivotal and tragic moment in history in a way I have never seen before.
