More like 3.5 stars. Heartfelt yet often a little too on-the-nose for me. But I appreciate it’s message of staying young at heart and keeping the magic alive!

Beautiful art to go with a beautiful story :') This was more than just about growing up (and the fears that come with it) -- it was also about coming to terms with what has passed and trying to move on and move forward after letting go. Brought me to tears towards the end and would definitely recommend others to check this out. Looking forward to trying out more of Reimena Yee's work!

A great coming of age story with a little help from a friendly ghost.

With a blend of magic and acceptance, Lora learns how to grow with those around her but also stay true to herself. Alexa, the household ghost helps Lora through this journey but also has her own growing to do. The illustrations capture the emotions and excitement of the story. The text is descriptive and draws readers into the story. The imaginative aspect of the story allows readers to delight in "childish" memories.

Growing up does not mean changing who you are.

GORGEOUS, amazing illustrations. Absolutely loved. Heartbreaking, thought-provoking graphic novel about growing up and growing old.

Note: I read an e-book copy that was in black and white. I am purchasing a full color copy and once I’ve read that, I’ll update my review (currently at 4.5 stars).

What a perfect read for October. This is the definition of a cozy spooky read. I think this will be a graphic novel that I return to each fall. I loved watching the growth of Lora and Alexa.
