This book was so charming. The artwork was really lovely and the story had me on the verge of tears as I thought of my own childhood and growing up. As a mom watching her children grow up, it was bittersweet.

Made me ugly sob in a bathroom, 10/10.
I was not expecting this book to hit two story lines that really destroy me. One of those is the gratitude for the ability to grow old, and the other is finding a way to keep the magic from your childhood alive. I could feel myself rising and emotionally heading towards crying when Alexa drew wrinkles onto her face and then I really was hit by her complimenting her former friend on the ability to have grown old. I did cry at the end. I’m not exactly sure when the tears started, but they were certainly earned.

I have a lot of feelings reading this. Remembering my childhood were filled with so much fun but I'm not being anything rn. All my childhood friends already moved on with their lifes while I'm still stuck in here. This book give me comfort eventho idk what will I become. A truly heartwarming book <3
